Bachelors evacuated from 500 houses

KUWAIT: Engineer Ahmed Al-Manfouhi stressed that 500 houses which had been inhabited by bachelors were evacuated so far, adding that a report was submitted to the cabinet in this regard. Manfouhi added that the cabinet extended the evacuation project for further six months.

Former MPs’ case adjourned

The Court of Appeal adjourned a case filed against four former lawmakers over promoting former MP Musallam Al- Barrak’s speech till January 4th.

Slandering

The criminal court set November 16 to make its sentence in a state security case in which Saleh Al-Saeed and blogger Rania Al-Saad are accused of slandering Saudi Arabia and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The court also decided to acquit Rania Al-Saad of threatening Sheikha Fraiha Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah after she had earlier been sentenced to three months with labor and a KD 200 bail to suspend the verdict.
