KUWAIT: Airport customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle 140 kg of mitragynine (kratom) into the country. The banned substance arrived from an Asian country. KUWAIT: Commerce and Industry Ministry inspectors closed a store in Hawally for printing stickers and placing them on products to alter the country of origin, as well as stickers of counterfeit goods carrying famous trademarks. Meanwhile, ministry inspectors closed three Salmiya stores for selling counterfeit goods carrying labels of famous brands.
