Magnitude 6.2 quake hits east of Tokyo, no tsunami warning: meteorological agency
Tokyo: A strong 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit off a coast near Tokyo Friday evening, Japan's Meteorological Agency said, adding there but there was no fear of a tsunami.The quake hit at a depth of 50 kilometres (31 miles) at 7:03 pm local time (1003 GMT) in Pacific waters off Japan's Chiba region and was strong enough to shake large buildings in the capital and stop train services.
