KUWAIT: The General Assembly of Salwa Al Sabah Sports Club on Sunday approved the financial and administrative reports for fiscal year ending 2022-2023 during the assembly’s meeting at the club’s premises in the presence of a large number of members of the general assembly members. The meeting was chaired by the Chairwoman of Salwa Al-Sabah club, Sheikha Naima Al-Ahmed, and in the presence of Deputy Chairwoman Nayla Al Ali, secretary Engineer Rasha Al Sayegh, treasurer SuadSadek, in addition to Assistant Secretary Khuloud Baqer and Assistant Treasurer Jehan Al Shatti.
The General Assembly meeting of “Salwa” witnessed the presentation of the most important and most prominent achievements of the club’s teams by Sheikha Naima Al-Ahmad, who pointed out that the season was full of local and foreign participations, and witnessed many achievements by the players with the major support of the club’s Board of Directors. She also thanked them for renewing confidence in the board of directors, which draws its strength from the General Assembly, in order to continue the March of success and excellence of Salwa Al Sabah club, and that ambitions are great to make more achievements.
She said “Last season witnessed many achievements for the club, including the winning the volleyball league’s championship for the third consecutive time that in addition to the Super and cup championships. As for the U-18 volleyball team, it also achieved the league championship for the second consecutive season, in addition, the table tennis players won a large number of medals with the national team, and at the local level achieved titles of all competitions in various age groups.
“The athletics team also achieved first place in the refresher tournament in its first and second editions, and first place in the first preliminary tournament,” Al-Ahmad added. At the level of the national teams, Salwa Al-Sabah club player Dana Al-Azmi won the gold medal of the West Asian Championship in discus throw The player Madawi Al-Shammari won the silver medal of the sports and Cultural Olympiad - Iran. She thanked the Public Authority for sport for supporting the women’s sports movement, especially Salwa Al-Sabah club.
In turn, the members of the General Assembly of Salwa Al-Sabah club praised the Board of Directors efforts and gave it unlimited support sectors headed by Sheikha Naima Al-Ahmad, and their confidence in the continued development of women’s sports and all club teams to win more championships next season, especially after the great and wonderful work done by the board last season, and place the club in the ranks of advanced clubs in women’s sports.
