KUWAIT: Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Dr Humoud Fulaiteh said Kuwait hosting of the Asian Bowling Championship from October 20 is a significant sports event, that augments Kuwait sports links with continental and world sports organizations, after lifting the suspension for good.

Fulaiteh lauded the efforts being exerted by the higher organizing committee and all sub-committees of the championship, adding that he is fully confident towards the ability of the Kuwait Bowling Club administration, headed by Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah and Board Members to have the tournament at its best.

He said bowling is highly popular and people of all ages play it, and hoped that branches for the bowling club will be built in order to all Kuwaitis to play the game in all areas.

Dr Fulaiteh said the Asian bowling tournament is the first official tournament to be held at the bowling complex after it was officially opened by HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and expected more continental and international tournament to be held her and restore Kuwait's place on the world sports map.
Dr Humoud Fulaiteh concluded by saying Public Authority for Sports continues its support for sports and athletes, and removing all obstacles they face according to the vision of the political leadership, that always gives directions to work on fulfilling Kuwait's athletes ambitions and dreams.
