Kuwait missions abroad mourn

KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti embassies in Austria, New Zealand, Cambodia, and Indonesia held their respective functions to mourn the demise of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who passed away last Saturday. The embassies each opened their condolence book for the late Amir and held a three-day mourning period. In Austria, Ambassador of Kuwait Talal Al-Fassam remembered Amir Sheikh Nawaf for his keen interest in the development of Kuwait and the welfare of its people. He expressed his condolences to the Kuwaiti leadership and people for this great loss.

Similarly, a statement from the Kuwaiti Embassy in New Zealand said that the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad would always be remembered as a man of great vision and compassion for Kuwaitis and residents alike. In Cambodia, the Kuwaiti Embassy held a three-day mourning period with the Ambassador Mohammad Al-Hajri and embassy staff receiving officials offering condolences over the great loss of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad. In Indonesia, the Kuwaiti Embassy there released a statement lamenting the passing of Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, announcing a three-day mourning period at the Embassy in Jakarta.

Arab officials mourn

Several Arab officials, while attending functions at Kuwaiti diplomatic missions abroad, expressed on Tuesday their sorrow over the demise of the late Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. At the Kuwaiti Embassy in the Republic of Austria, visiting Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi offered his condolences on the demise of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Amir of Kuwait.

Al-Qasabi met with Ambassador to Austria Talal Suleiman Al-Fassam in the presence of the Saudi ambassador, Dr. Abdullah Bin Khalid Tola. He offered sincere condolences to the Al-Sabah Family and to the Kuwaiti people on the demise of Sheikh Nawaf, who passed away after a career full of achievement and giving. Meanwhile, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Russia, Rashid Al-Adwani, expressed on Tuesday his condolences on the demise of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

He pointed out that Sheikh Nawaf also worked to consolidate the foreign political approach of Kuwait, which is based on peace, humanitarian work, and continuing to provide assistance to people and countries in need. From Muscat, two Omani ministers offered condolences on the demise of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman. The Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Saidi, and the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais Al-Yousef, expressed in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) their deep sorrow over this great loss. — KUNA
