KUWAIT: The Regional Presidency of Special Olympics International for the Middle East and North Africa region mourned the passing of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Engineer Ayman Abdelwahab, the regional president, said that the passing of the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God have mercy on him, is a great loss not to the Islamic and Arab worlds, but to the entire world, because of the role he played as a leader of the State of Kuwait.
Humanitarian, and people with intellectual disabilities have received many forms of this support since he was crown prince, and the support continued after he took over Kuwait. The regional president extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the sisterly State of Kuwait, the government and people’s leadership, praying to God Almighty to accept him in His heavenly abode. “To God we belong and to Him we shall return.”
Meanwhile, with hearts filled with pain, Special Olympics Kuwait mourned its Amir and leader, the caring father Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, may God rest his soul, after a long journey of giving and leading the country’s journey with wisdom and ability and tireless efforts to achieve comprehensive renaissance, development and construction, and to achieve the progress and prosperity that his children aspire to.
The National Director of the National Olympics, Rihab Bouresli, on her behalf and on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Special Olympics and all its members, extended sincere condolences to the Kuwaiti people and to the honorable Al-Sabah Family on the passing of the Amir of Pardon, leaving a great legacy of fragrant biography and high humanitarian meanings, through which he embodied a model that we are proud of as a father and leader, in humility.
He has patience, toughness, will, responsibility, and love of the country. And reward him well on our behalf, in proportion to the great deeds he performed for the progress of his country, and in proportion to the great tasks he shouldered to raise Kuwait, and in proportion to the great challenges he faced and overcame to preserve his gains, and in proportion to the effort he exerted in guiding its direction to the horizons of progress and prosperity.
We remember with all gratitude his caring and support to his children with disabilities and harnessing all capabilities to provide them with a decent life, asking God Almighty to cover him in His vast mercy and generous pardon and to preserve our beloved Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him.
