Minister inspects 5th Ring Road project

KUWAIT: The Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and Acting Minister of Public Works, Dr Jassem Al-Ostad, inspected on Thursday the stages of completion and implementation of the road project between the Fifth Ring Road, Al-Ghazali Road, and Mohammed bin Al-Qasim Street, which aims to alleviate traffic congestion.

The minister said in a press release that the project engineer made a presentation about the stages of completion of the project, which amounted to 3.89 percent, as it is expected to be completed in May 2024.

She added that the project is developing the intersection (Al-Ghazali) with the Fifth Ring Road and includes the construction of a bridge passing over Al-Ghazali Street to facilitate traffic to and from the Avenues complex. He explained that the project will develop the Fifth Ring Road with Airport Street and make a new road connecting the Fifth Ring Road which is parallel to the Airport Road. — KUNA
