Mirzaam returns for 4th edition

The largest decor and interior design expo in Kuwait

KUWAIT: Mirzaam, the largest decor and interior design expo in Kuwait, returned for its fourth edition on Tuesday at Kuwait International Fairgrounds. The five-day expo, from Dec 12 to 16, takes place in halls 5, 6, and 7 with more than 300 participating pavilions in 30 categories. Founder and organizer of Mirzaam Farah Al-Humaidhi has unveiled an ambitious five-year plan for the future, signaling Mirzaam’s intent to support regional expansion by launching Gulf versions.

This strategic move aims to provide opportunities for participants and companies beyond Kuwait, broadening the scope of Mirzaam’s impact. Humaidhi emphasized that sustainability has been a fundamental cornerstone of Mirzaam since its inaugural edition in 2019. She highlighted the substantial development seen in subsequent editions of Mirzaam as a testament to the commitment to promoting sustainability, aligning with the goals outlined in the New Kuwait 2035 vision. This approach reflects Mirzaam’s dedication to not only showcase innovation, but also contribute to broader societal and environmental objectives.

Humaidhi highlighted that Mirzaam 4 Expo stands as a showcase for over 230 prominent local and international names, boasting more than 300 distinctive pavilions spanning 30 categories in the realm of interior design and decoration. Encompassing an expansive area exceeding 25,000 square meters, the exhibition provides a platform for participants to showcase their products, ideas and latest trends in furniture and decoration.

This diverse and comprehensive representation enables exhibitors to connect with visitors, offering insights into current market requirements. The commitment to staying abreast of trends and understanding the evolving preferences of the Kuwaiti market is evident, driven by the enthusiasm of Kuwaitis for decor and interior design, affirming that Mirzaam 4 stands as a dynamic hub for industry players to engage with the vibrant landscape of design and innovation.

“The exhibition will make it easier for visitors to find everything they need under one roof, from interior and exterior finishes to furniture, accessories, kitchens and all home needs. Mirzaam’s primary goal since its launch is to transform the process of furnishing homes and spaces from a tiring challenge to an enjoyable experience,” Humaidhi pointed out, explaining that Mirzaam 2023 will allow visitors to win valuable prizes when shopping for a minimum of KD 10, including the grand prize of a Volvo car that is offered annually, in addition to cash prizes worth KD 10,000 and more than 10 valuable prizes offered by sponsors.

Humaidhi concluded by thanking the sponsors and participants, led by the platinum sponsors for the fourth year in a row, Zain, the pioneer of mobile telecommunications in the Middle East, in addition to strategic sponsor Volvo Cars and other sponsors.

Shaima Alshatti, Director of the resources development department at Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), said: “We are participating in the Mirzaam exhibition to receive donations for the ‘Help Palestine’ campaign. We started the campaign from the beginning of the crisis in Gaza and we are working to send more aid. There is a direct presence in Gaza to distribute aid to the needy and we are continuing to send humanitarian air bridge flights.” She indicated that at the Kuwait Red Crescent booth at the Mirzaam expo, visitors have the opportunity to contribute to the cause by donating through a payment link or KNET, ensuring a transparent process where they can obtain a payment receipt for their support.

This underscores the organization’s commitment to facilitating avenues for humanitarian assistance and rallying support for those affected by the crisis in Gaza. Mirzaam will also celebrate the winners of the “best booth design”, where three winners will be awarded. Also, upcoming expos were announced - Mirzaamiyat for Ramadan on Jan 24-27, 2024 and Mirzaam expo 2024 on Dec 3-7, 2024 at Kuwait International Fairgrounds. Kuwait Times and Kuwait News are the media sponsors of the fourth edition of Mirzaam Expo.
