Art exhibition in support of Palestinian steadfastness

KUWAIT: The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters organized the Gaza steadfastness exhibition, which included paintings signed by Kuwaiti artists to express the extent of Kuwaiti support for Palestinian steadfastness in the face of Zionist occupation aggression. The exhibition was held at the free workshop in cooperation with a number of embassies of Arab countries in Kuwait.

The assistant secretary general of the arts sector at the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, Assistant Zamil, said the support is not limited to the political or diplomatic aspect only but also reaches art, through which it is possible to translate feelings and the extent of human suffering for what is happening in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Al-Zamil added that “based on the leading role of Kuwait in supporting the Palestinian cause and extending a helping hand to the brothers and sisters there, we have chosen to express artistically what is happening in the Gaza Strip.” The ambassador of Palestine to the country, Rami Tahboub, in a statement to the Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA), considered the exhibition another statement in Kuwait’s support for Palestine and its cause, praising its support for the Palestinian people in “this ordeal that they are going through in light of the brutal aggression carried out by the occupation forces on our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.”.

Ambassador Tahboub said that such exhibitions play a big role in conveying the message of Palestinian suffering and Arab solidarity with the Palestinian people to all over the world and to world public opinion, which “has come to stand with us and knows the truth from falsehood.” “Kuwait was and remains until the moment one of the first countries to support the Palestinian people through relief campaigns, whether through the government, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, or public benefit associations, shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinian people until this crisis disappears and the Palestinian people are protected from this injustice,” he said. — KUNA
