KIB sponsors event to bolster small businesses in Kuwait

KUWAIT: The FoodBuzz festival took place at Al-Hamra Tower on Wednesday, drawing a diverse crowd eager to enjoy the weather and indulge in a diverse array of culinary delights. The event was sponsored by Kuwait International Bank (KIB), reflecting a commendable initiative to bolster small businesses in the region.

Speaking to Kuwait Times, Marwa Marafie, Manager of the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department at KIB, said: “At Kuwait International Bank, we have always been supporters of Kuwaiti small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurial projects, as part of our comprehensive social responsibility program and community engagement initiatives. We are delighted to maintain an active presence at FoodBuzz, as we have extended our sponsorship of the iconic food and beverage festival for the third year in a row.”

She added: “During the latest edition of the festival, we saw remarkable participation from entrepreneurs and visitors alike, which contributes to supporting the SME sector in Kuwait and benefiting the local economy at large.”

Marafie noted the theme for KIB’s booth at the festival this year revolved around recycling. “It provided us with a great opportunity to engage the festival’s visitors in conversations around sustainability and driving positive change,” she said, adding, “As part of our booth, a newspaper stand dedicated to a special Kuwait Times edition focused on KIB’s long list of achievements as a ‘Bank for Life’.”
