KUWAIT: Under their strategic partnership to empower tech innovation and support entrepreneurs, Zain and Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC) – a center of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) have jointly hosted an insightful session that discussed the innovations and capabilities of artificial intelligence technologies. The session, which also focused on how entrepreneurs can use AI to drive growth and success for their startups, was presented by Google Cloud expert Dr Chawki Tawbi.
This step came under the umbrella of Zain and SACGC’s recently signed MoU, which focuses on a number of strategic pillars and sustainable goals like supporting tech innovation, empowering entrepreneurs and startups, encouraging creativity, investing in the digital skills of young people, and more.
During the session, Dr Chawki Tawbi covered an overview of Google Cloud and its leading role in empowering digitization around the world. He also discussed some of the most notable cloud computing solutions offered by Google Cloud, especially those that are based on AI technologies. Dr Tawbi then went on to explain what Generative AI is, how it dominated the tech scene recently, and how to utilize the capabilities of such revolutionary technologies to open up entire new opportunities for startups.
In addition, Dr Tawbi presented a live demo of some AI use cases, giving the attendees a close-up view of advanced AI applications. Another special session was also held for Zain employees, where the Google Cloud expert shared the best tips for using AI tools to increase efficiency, enhance workflows, and be more productive at the workplace.
Dr Chawki Tawbi is a Senior Partner Sales Engineer at Google Cloud. He is a Data and AI Lead and is a Google Gen-AI Ambassador for Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. Dr Tawbi has more than 25 years of experience in Data, AI and Business Automation across various industries and geographies.
He founded and led a Data Science Center of Excellence in the MEA region, responsible for helping CDOs and Business Leaders in setting-up and executing Data and AI strategies. He is a board member of several universities and a lecturer in the Data and AI space. This session came under Zain’s Innovation Nation initiative, under which all of Zain’s innovation and entrepreneurship programs fall, especially within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) areas. The initiative mainly targets the youth, and centers around a number of pillars, including entrepreneurship, investment, startup acceleration, supporting inventors, fostering innovation, and more.
