KUWAIT: Canon, one of the leading digital imaging providers and photographic equipment makers, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa has chosen Kuwait’s Muhammad Murad as the first wildlife photographer from the Arab region.
As an ambassador within its initiative-Ambassador Programme—Murad told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday that his selection came through the initiative that brings together the best photographers and videographers in the world from all over Europe, the Middle East and Africa to cooperate with Canon.
Murad added that he is interested in photographing wildlife, as he has won many international awards, with a special interest in photographing birds. He noted that his works, which were photographed mainly in Kuwait and European and African countries, won prizes in high-level wildlife photography competitions.
He explained that his work is not limited to taking high-quality pictures. It not only shows natural landscapes, but it also emphasizes the importance of preserving and raising awareness of environmental issues, he said. Murad pointed out that his vision related to preserving the natural environment was compatible with Canon’s mission to promote creativity and innovation in the field of photography, which was the reason for his selection for this position. — KUNA
