KUWAIT: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, opened the new citizenship and travel documents office in the Shuwaikh area on Wednesday and reviewed the services it provides to citizens and functioning of the electronic passport delivery devices.
The ministry’s General Department of Security Relations and Media said in a press statement that Lieutenant General Al-Barjas confirmed during the opening that the office building is part of the construction projects included in the general plan of the ministry of interior to develop and improve security works and provide quality services to citizens.
He added that the new building is a smart and advanced building, as it is equipped with all the services provided to citizens, including issuing travel documents and obtaining citizenship.
Director General of the General Administration of Nationality and Travel Documents, Sheikh Fawaz Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, said that the new building is equipped with all technological means that contribute to providing services within minutes, stressing that special services have been provided for the elderly and people with special needs. The opening was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs and Support Services Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah and a number of security leaders in the ministry. —KUNA
