KUWAIT: HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Tuesday Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Aiban, Director-General of the Public Authority for Sports Al-Bidan and the President of Kuwait Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who presented to HH the Crown Prince Kuwaiti athletes who won medals at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou.

"We are pleased to welcome you all and convey the greetings and blessings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and for you, our sincere appreciation and congratulations for what our athletes have achieved at the 19th Asian Games held in China, achieving accomplishments and winning medals,” HH the Crown Prince said in a speech.

"We have affirmed that the true wealth of the nation lies in its sons and daughters, the youth, who are the bright minds, the strong hands, and the strong pillars that our beloved country rises with, achieving more aspirations and goals. Today, we celebrate this constellation of our athletes who raised the flag of Kuwait high in this international sports event and adorned their necks with the highest medals to achieve advanced positions in this championship,” he said.

"We were thrilled by your outstanding performance during your fruitful participation in the 19th Asian Games, which reflected the civilized image of Kuwaiti sports and your determination, perseverance, sportsmanship and high skills. We are proud of the athlete Faisal Al-Rajhi and what he demonstrated in terms of challenge and determination... Our message to you is to exert more efforts and not to stop at a certain point in achieving goals and accomplishments,” HH Sheikh Mishal said.

"Our sincere thanks and great appreciation to everyone who supported and assisted our athletes, creating the conditions and suitable atmosphere that had a significant impact on their success in achieving advanced positions. We thank some private sector entities that supported these athletes and honored them, appreciating this kind gesture and looking forward to everyone following suit, reinforcing the private sector’s role in supporting distinguished Kuwaiti athletes. Our message to those involved in sports in our beloved country is to continue performing your duties with sincerity, good planning, and follow-up to uplift Kuwaiti sports in all its fields,” he added.

"We invoke Almighty Allah to perpetuate the brilliance and excellence of our beloved Kuwait’s sons and daughters and to elevate them to higher ranks, so that our flag remains fluttering in all regional and international arenas, under the wise leadership and enlightened vision of our leader and father, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may Allah protect him and extend his life and care,” HH the Crown Prince concluded.
