Customs thwarts bid to smuggle in chewing tobacco

KUWAIT: Customs officials thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of chewing tobacco (gutka) concealed inside a container arriving in the country. This interception followed the suspicion of customs inspectors regarding a container labeled “clothes and accessories”.

The container underwent a meticulous inspection, revealing a significant amount of chewing tobacco packs hidden behind crates of clothing and accessories inside the container.
