Double standards!

History’s first UN-sanctioned genocide! One child killed every 10 minutes!

By Dr Ziad Al-Alyan

I stand guilty of being one of the many silent spectators of the genocide and ethnic cleansing taking place in Palestine. I was criticized by many of my friends and family for doing so. My lack of participation was based on a historical hopelessness. Initially, the events taking place were not new to Palestinians. Nothing ever changes. This is not the first time Gaza has been bombed.

However, the recent rapid escalation was absolutely unbearable. I am no longer talking as an Arab or a Muslim; my stance is that of a human being. The atrocities taking place in Gaza are probably the worst seen by “modern” humanity. It is astonishing how anyone can pretend to justify the actions taken by the Zionist entity as an act of self defense. I do admit the Zionist entity continues to make it more and more difficult to defend their stance by continuing to take human rights violations to different heights on a daily basis.

Verified images from the recent annihilation of the hospital in Palestine can’t even be conceived by the darkest of Hollywood writers. As a doctor, I can confirm that the hardest task is to stand in front of the corpse of a child. The press conference that took place by physicians in the middle of the wreckage while surrounded by hundreds of bodies is a testament that humanity has indeed failed. What is more astonishing is the response of the US president upon his arrival to the Zionist entity, when he concluded that the hospital bombing “appears to be done by the other team”!

The sheer speed of reaching that conclusion and sharing it with the rest of the world is mindboggling. In retrospect, the Bush administration at least made an effort to convince the world they did some research before announcing there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. I can only assume that Joe needed to lock in the Zionist support for the elections early. On the other hand, Rishi Sunak announced to the Commons that his investigation led to the conclusion that the hospital bombing was as a result of a missile fired from inside Gaza. I am not sure why the UK government spent any time or money investigating that when the majority of the Arab world knew that would be the only possible conclusion!

To date, more than 11,000 people have lost their lives after the commencement of the genocide campaign by the IDF.

International law down the drain

Almost every human rights organization and law expert has announced that the continued bombardment of Gaza is a clear violation of international law. The collective punishment of civilians in Gaza is a clear violation of international law. But the American, British and French leaders are still ignoring these claims. I hope it’s clear to all now — that international law is only upheld when it suits the interest of a handful of countries. The sheer inhumanity of not voting for a ceasefire is mindboggling.

“No benefit in a ceasefire at this time”

The above statement reiterated in different ways by the likes of Hillary Clinton, Rishi Sunak, the Biden administration and the French leadership is nothing short of criminal. The justification that this would only allow Hamas to regroup is a pathetic excuse to condone genocide.

I can’t help but wonder what fear was instilled in the hearts and minds of these leaders by the Zionists to allow them to utter these ideas in public. I am convinced that politicians of the likes of Sunak and Co are not convinced of what they are saying, but feel they must for the sake of their continued existence in their current roles.

There is no clear end date to the ongoing genocide. The will of good humans around the world is still no match to the very few Western leaders who want to pursue their campaign of ethnic cleansing. I make it a point to emphasize leaders, and not nations. I am convinced that the majority of everyday Americans and Europeans are innocent of what their Zionist-backed leaders are responsible for. I hope the humane majority can overthrow the corrupt few and make amends to the torn fabric of humanity.
