KUWAIT: The President of the Algerian Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent on Friday a cable of congratulations to the Algerian writer and activist Dr Zohour Wanissi on the occasion of honoring her by Dr Suad Al-Sabah with the “Loyalty Day Award”, which is periodically presented by the Kuwaiti poet to a number of surviving Arab thinkers and scientists who have made pioneering scientific and intellectual achievements. According to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic of Algeria published by the Algerian Press Agency, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said : “I am pleased on the occasion of honoring you by the Kuwaiti Foundation “Suad Al-Sabah” with the “Loyalty Award” and to be the honored symbol of Arab culture for the year 2023, to extend to you my warmest congratulations and deep appreciation, on this well-deserved honor, which represents an appreciation for your career full of writing and creativity. And in gratitude and gratitude for your pioneering scientific, intellectual, professional and social role, which characterized your busy and lofty career.”
Dr Suad Al-Sabah launched the initiative in the nineties of the last century by honoring the man of enlightenment in Kuwait, Abdulaziz Hussein, and then a number of other names in a number of Arab countries, including: Bahrain’s great poet Ibrahim Al-Arrayed, poet Nizar Qabbani in Syria, Dr Tharwat Okasha in Egypt, Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal in Saudi Arabia, Dr Abdelkrim Ghallab in Morocco, Ghassan Tueni in Lebanon, Dr Saleh Al-Ujairi in Kuwait, Dr Habib Janhani in Tunisia and writer Ibrahim Al-Koni in Libya.
