KUWAIT: The International Women’s Group Kuwait (IWG) held a ‘Stress-Management and Tranquility’ event for its members and honored guests on Nov 5, 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Farwaniya.
In her opening speech, Antonia Dimitrova, President of the IWG and wife of the ambassador of Bulgaria, welcomed the attendees saying she hoped everyone would benefit from incorporating the event’s stress-management techniques in their daily lives.
Layla Boulos, IWG public relations coordinator, introduced the guest speaker, Darine Jabra, Transurfing & TFT Thought Field Therapy Coach, who spoke of the nature, types and causes of stress and gave examples of its signs and symptoms. Jabra then shared specific TFT tapping techniques to help in relaxation and anxiety reduction; members were guided through specific routines which could be easily used in times of stress and anxiety.
The event then continued with a presentation by Mohammed Al-Hasan, co-founder of Caffiene Coffee Company and a Black belt & practicing martial arts specialist since 2000, spoke of the physical and psychological benefits of exercise.
Al-Hasan also demonstrated special martial art breathing techniques in which the entire audience participated. The event was highly appreciated by all attendees, with many saying that anxiety and stress had become a major part of life and stress-management an absolute necessity.
On behalf of the executive board, IWG’s two Vice-Presidents, Saia Beridbay, spouse of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan and Polina Dalmini, spouse of the Ambassador of Eswatini, joined President Dimitrova in presenting shields of appreciation to the honored guest speakers. A raffle was then followed with a specially prepared healthy buffet by the chefs of the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
