Kuwait University hosts Bulgarian ambassador

KUWAIT: Acting President of Kuwait University Prof Dr Meshari Al-Harbi received the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Kuwait Dimitar Dimitrov on Tuesday at the office of the Rector of Kuwait University in Sabah Al-Salem University City. The meeting sought to strengthen cultural and academic relations between the Kuwait and Bulgaria.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Prof Al-Harbi expressed Kuwait University’s keenness to exchange experiences as well as cultures between the universities and educational institutions in the world.

Prof Al-Harbi stressed the readiness of Kuwait University to provide services and academic cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, and discussed the conclusion of agreements between Kuwait University and the University of Sofia. The discussion centered around the Arabic language department at the Sofia University in addition to research cooperation and student exchange programs between the two countries.

Dimitrov thanked Prof Al-Harbi for hosting him at Kuwait University and the university administration for its proposals and submitting a memorandum of understanding to expand research cooperation between the countries.
