26th Quran recital competition inaugurated

KUWAIT: Under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the 26th Kuwait Grand Competition for Memorizing and Reciting the Holy Quran was inaugurated under the slogan “Maknoon”. Kuwait University, through the Deanship of Student Affairs, participated by sending 23 students, both male and female, from various faculties, with varying degrees of Quranic memorization and intonation skills.

Kholoud Al-Yaqoub, Acting Controller of the Department of Cultural and Artistic Activities at the Deanship of Student Affairs, emphasized that the primary goal of these competitions is to inspire Kuwait University students to engage in Quranic recitation, memorization and fostering a deep appreciation for the Holy Quran in their hearts. Additionally, the competition aims to encourage students to invest their free time in a meaningful and beneficial manner.

The competition, organized by the General Secretariat of Awqaf, is open to all Kuwaiti citizens and is divided into various categories to assess Quranic memorization skills.
