Kuwait’s boxer Behbehani knocks out Turkey’s Namli

KUWAIT: Kuwait’s boxer Hamza Behbehani became champion of Turkey’s unified International Championship, that is sanctioned by Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) and World Boxing Council, as he beat Turkish boxer Orhan Namli in the second round by technical knockout.

Behbehani made a gesture in solidarity with the Palestinian people by wearing the Kofiya before the match. He said that his stand was in solidarity with the people in Gaza and the sacrifices they are making day after day in defense of their lands. He said “this is the least we give to our besieged brothers in Gaza, and hope this will end soon”.

Behbehani thanked Kuwait Olympic Committee Board member Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah for his support of Kuwaitis in various sports, adding that Turkish International Championship was sanctioned by UBO and WBC, is an advanced step in my professional carrier, and my win was few month after the ligament operation that I made in Kuwait, and being out of action for a long time. He said “this will help raising my ranking in both organization and hope to continue my winning ways.
