KUWAIT: Reflecting its firm belief in the importance of investing in the human capital by developing, training and increasing the efficiency of its employees, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) organized a masterclass titled “Future Makers” by Peter Fisk, a global business leader in the areas of creativity and innovation.
This is the fifth masterclass of a series consisting of 6 masterclasses and workshops organized by NBK, in partnership with IE Business School - Madrid, focusing on developing personal and practical skills in areas related to digital transformation and planning for the future, in view of the rapidly changing world.
The masterclass discussed incredible technologies and geopolitical shifts, complex markets and stagnating growth, explore how businesses can survive and thrive and move forwards to create a better future. It also explored how businesses can survive, thrive and move forward to create a better future by introducing new innovative ideas, providing examples of the most innovative companies in the field which managed to achieve unprecedented successes within a short time.
It also showcased the prerequisites of an innovation-friendly environment and the factors that encourage opening up to new ideas and exploring untraditional and innovative solutions that help overcome challenges related to disruptive change in the workplace, in view of environmental crisis and social distrust, unexpected shocks and uncertain futures.
The lecture also highlighted the need to learn from the innovative strategies of giant companies, which achieved incredible success over the recent past years, in order to be able to identify the unique work mechanism that embraces and drives creativity and innovation among the employees of these organizations.
Peter Fisk is a global business leader in the areas of Leadership and Growth, Marketing and Innovation. He is Professor at IE Business School and an award-winning author of many books including “Business Recoded” which was nominated for business book of the year in 2022, explore innovative strategies with “Gamechangers“, built on over 100 case studies of the most disruptive, interesting companies.
Besides, Fisk is founder and CEO of GeniusWorks based in London, helping to develop better strategies and ideas for businesses and to make them happen. He also works independently with other business schools. He has over 30 years of practical business experience in managing and developing high-flying brands in Europe, North America and Asia. Fisk worked with over 300 companies and 55 countries helping them to accelerate and magnify growth, from Adidas’ growth into new markets to McKinsey’s leadership development to Santander’s future bank vision and Virgin’s launch of new brands.
