GCC officials to expand judicial cooperation

MANAMA: The Undersecretary of the Kuwait Court of Cassation, Ishaq Al-Kandari, stressed on Monday the importance of exchanging visits, experiences, and information between judicial sector employees in the region, which positively contributes to expanding the horizons of joint cooperation. This came in a statement by Al-Kandari to KUNA on the sidelines of his and the accompanying delegation’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain within the framework of the program of bilateral visits to the Supreme Courts and Courts of Cassation in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Al-Kandari confirmed the importance of these “fruitful” visits in intensifying areas of cooperation and benefiting from the experiences in the Gulf countries, which are continuously trying to keep up with technical updates witnessed worldwide. He praised the “successful” Bahraini experience in the judicial field and the implemented procedures that were developed to save time and effort, including activating a new mechanism to get rid of the backlog of discrimination appeals, as it “developed the beginning of advocacy.”

The Kuwaiti delegation was briefed on Bahrain’s experience in the “privatization of implementation” system by implementing commercial and civil cases through private enforcers supervised by the judiciary, he added. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the officials in the Bahraini Ministry of Justice, led by the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf Al-Muawadah, the Head of the Judicial Inspection, Counselor Abdul Rahman Al-Mualla, and Judge Dr. Jawaher Al-Abdul Rahman, for their cooperation and keenness to exchange information. — AFP

In addition to Counselor Al-Kandari, the Kuwaiti judicial delegation, in addition to Al-Kandari, includes the Undersecretary of the Court of Cassation, Counselor Dr. Obaid Al-Ajmi, the Undersecretary of the Court of Cassation, Counselor Saleh Al-Raqdan, and the head of the Judicial Inspection. — KUNA
