KUWAIT: Burgan Bank announced the appointment of Mohammed Al-Roomi as Deputy General Manager of Information and Cyber Security Management. Prior to his new role at Burgan Bank, Al-Roomi spent 15 years in Ernst & Young at its UK, US, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait offices, where he gained comprehensive experience across the institution’s various departments, qualifying him for his latest appointment as partner in Ernst & Young’s Information Technology Advisory practice. This role underscores his valuable insights and notable impact as a trusted advisor in a rapidly evolving digital landscape to some of the world’s largest institutions including global banks, regulators, and major digital platforms on information security, regulatory compliance, IT risk management and digital transformation.
Al-Roomi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University in addition to numerous field-specific certifications from Google, AWS, and Microsoft, as well as other reputed accrediting institutions. In his new role at Burgan Bank, Al-Roomi will contribute plenty of value and insight to the Bank’s information and cybersecurity management systems, ensuring that Burgan Bank continues to be a trusted financial partner for all of its customers across Kuwait’s varied segments.
