KUWAIT: Kuwait Shooting Sport Club celebrated the achievements of Kuwait shooters at the Asian Cup 2025 Shotgun Championship held in the city of Linfen, China earlier this month. Acting Director General of Kuwait Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah Al-Salem praised on Sunday the "achievement” of Kuwait shooting team by winning seven medals (three gold, one silver and three bronze) in the Asian Championship, with the participation of a large number of Asian teams.
Bashar Abdullah, In a press statement, praised the "excellence” of the Kuwaiti shooting team and the achievements of its champions, which were achieved as a result of the work and clear strategy of the local federation, which is keen on good preparation for tournaments and clear attention to the shooters and their preparation and for competitions to make such achievements.
President of the Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi said in a similar statement that he dedicates this "great achievement” in his name and on behalf of the board members and shooters to HH the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah and the generous Kuwaiti people, adding that "the achievements by the Kuwaiti team are a source of great pride for the Kuwaiti shooting community.
Al-Otaibi expressed his hope that Kuwait’s shooters will make more achievements and victories in the name of the State of Kuwait in the upcoming competitions. For her part, shooter Shahad Al-Hawal expressed in a similar statement her happiness in achieving second place in the trap shooting teams in a competition that was not easy. Al-Hawal believed that "second place in the Asian competitions is an advanced position due to the presence of strong teams,” expressing her aspiration to make more achievements in the future.
For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Saad said that this honoring is an incentive for shooters to make more achievements in the upcoming tournaments, stressing the keenness to raise the flag of the State of Kuwait in international forums. Al-Saad pointed out that the Asian competitions are difficult because of the presence of international shooters, but the Kuwaiti team has distinguished shooters who were able to achieve distinguished numbers in the tournament.
The honored shooters are Abdulaziz Al-Saad, Abdulaziz Al-Mandeel, Abdulrahman Al-Faihan, Nasser Al-Moqlid, Shahad Al-Hawal, Sarah Al-Hawal, Reem Al-Zamanan, as well as the delegation participating in the tournament.
