Zain inspires young minds on World Environment Day

Company holds hands-on sustainability experience in collaboration with National Geographic Ultimate Explorer

KUWAIT: In celebration of World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5, Zain hosted an interactive educational experience at Assima Mall in collaboration with National Geographic Ultimate Explorer. The initiative came as part of the company’s strategic efforts to promote environmental sustainability awareness within the community, particularly among younger generations.
The event offered a rich and enjoyable experience, featuring a variety of innovative activities that combined learning and fun. These included an art workshop using recycled materials, a tree planting corner where children decorated eco-friendly plant pots, a dedicated space for environmental quizzes about nature and wildlife, and a photo zone to capture memories and encourage social media sharing.
Through this activation, Zain aimed to instill environmental values and sustainable practices in children from an early age by engaging them in interactive activities that stimulate creativity and personal responsibility toward the environment. These goals were reflected in the collaboration with National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, a leading global brand known for delivering educational content through engaging and entertaining formats that captivate young minds.
The event witnessed a strong turnout from children and families, reflecting the community’s growing interest in environmental causes and reinforcing the importance of continuing such awareness initiatives to help raise a more environmentally conscious generation.

This step falls under Zain’s broader corporate sustainability strategy, which reflects its deep commitment to fostering environmental awareness across all segments of society, from children to the company’s operational ecosystem. It also aligns with the company’s long-term vision of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and contributing meaningfully to sustainable development both within Kuwait and across the region.
