ShareKUWAIT: Zain continued its long-standing strategic partnership with the Arab Media Forum, the region’s most prominent media gathering, which returned for its landmark 20th edition under the theme Media Challenges in Light of Technological Development and Digital Transformation. The event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel under the patronage of the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and witnessed the attendance of leading media figures from across the Arab world.
Zain participated in the opening ceremony, which was attended by the representative of the Forum’s patron, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, alongside Waleed Al-Khashti, Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer at Zain Kuwait, Madhi Al-Khamis, Secretary General of the Arab Media Forum, and a distinguished audience of ministers, ambassadors, diplomats, media professionals, and senior officials. On the sidelines of the forum, Faisal Al-Ali, Enterprise Risk Management Department Manager at Zain Kuwait, joined a thought-provoking panel discussion titled Credibility and Information Verification in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, held in collaboration with the Arab Forum for Thought and Culture.
The panel also featured Nabil Yaqub Al-Hamar, Advisor to the King of Bahrain, Dr Mohammed Huwidan, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences from the UAE, and Dr Mohammed Rabie Al-Enezi, Professor at the College of Basic Education in Kuwait. During the session, Al-Ali highlighted Zain’s experience in utilizing modern technologies such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity solutions in enterprise risk management. He discussed how these digital tools play a key role in ensuring business continuity, anticipating future challenges, and enhancing the quality of strategic decision-making within private sector institutions.
Al-Ali emphasized the importance of integrating such technologies within the operational frameworks of both corporations and governments. He explained how Zain’s expertise in developing intelligent systems has contributed to proactively identifying and managing cyber threats, while also using data analytics models to assess risks and mitigate their potential impact on operations. Zain’s strategic partnership with the Arab Media Forum—now in its 12th consecutive year—stems from its belief in the power of media and its societal impact, and reflects the company’s ongoing support of the media sector at both the local and regional levels.
The forum’s panel discussions explored a range of topics, including the influence of artificial intelligence on the media industry, the critical role of cybersecurity in protecting digital content, and the role of media in raising public awareness and keeping pace with technological advancements. Several media professionals and content creators were also honored for their contributions to the advancement of the Arab media landscape. The 20th edition of the Arab Media Forum welcomed a wide array of media and academic figures, as well as content creators from across the Arab world, who engaged in rich discussions about the future of Arab media in an era of rapid digital transformation.
