Indian Learners Own Academy visits Kuwait Times, Kuwait News

KUWAIT: The Indian Learners Own Academy visited Kuwait Times and Kuwait News on Wednesday, to learn more about journalism and gain first-hand insight into how news is reported on printed and social media platforms. Public Relations and CSR manager at Kuwait Times and Kuwait News, Jana Alnaqeeb, took the students to each department, where they were introduced to the working team and engaged them in gaining a deeper understanding of the inner workings and day-to-day operations of a newspaper.

Kuwait Times Content Creator Dhoha Al-Issa explained to students how videos for Kuwait Times’ social media pages are filmed. They then moved to the editorial department, where Deputy Managing Editor Faten Omar spoke about the processes involved in news gathering, writing, and editing. Digital creator Yousef Abu Ghazaleh took students through Kuwait’s history in the Kuwait Times archive room. After that, the students went on a tour of the printing press, showing them the printing process and how the Kuwait Times’ staff runs and maintains the press.
