Kuwait, Saudi explore ways to strengthen cooperation

KUWAIT: Undersecretary of the National Guard (NG) Lt Gen Hashem Al-Rifai held talks with the Saudi Military Attaché to Kuwait, Brig Gen Farhan Al-Shathri, to explore ways of strengthening cooperation between the National Guard and military institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the National Guard said Lt Gen Al-Rifai received Brig Gen Al-Shathri and conveyed the greetings of the National Guard leadership, represented by Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Deputy Chief Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

The meeting underscored the deep-rooted and historic ties between the two brotherly nations and reviewed key topics of mutual concern. Discussions focused on enhancing joint coordination and cooperation in areas of shared interest between the National Guard and Saudi military bodies. — KUNA
