Kuwaiti, French naval forces unite for 'Arab Breeze'

KUWAIT: The third edition of the Arab Breeze joint exercise kicked off Saturday, bringing together the Kuwaiti and French naval forces. The exercise, which will run until May 8, sees participation from the Kuwaiti Naval Force’s Divers Battalion, specializing in explosive ordnance disposal, and French naval diver units.

The exercise is a key component of the Kuwaiti Naval Force’s strategic training plan, designed to enhance the professional capabilities of its personnel while fostering stronger defense and security cooperation with both allied and friendly forces.

According to the Kuwaiti General Staff, Arab Breeze focuses on boosting combat readiness, facilitating the exchange of expertise between the participating forces, and providing specialized training in the latest techniques for maritime surveying and clearing critical sea lanes of mines and explosives. The exercise underscores the ongoing commitment of both nations to maintaining maritime security and strengthening defense ties in the region.
