American Creativity Academy students visit Kuwait Times and Kuwait News

KUWAIT: Students from the American Creativity Academy visited Kuwait Times and Kuwait News, on Wednesday, to learn more about the field of journalism and gain first-hand insight into how news is reported on printed and social media platforms. Kuwait Times’ team welcomed students, took them on a tour of various departments, and engaged them in gaining a deeper understanding of the inner workings and day-to-day operations of a newspaper.

Kuwait Times Content Creator Dhoha Al-Issa explained to students how videos for Kuwait Times’ social media pages are filmed. They then moved to the editorial department, where Deputy Managing Editor Faten Omar spoke about the processes involved in news gathering, writing, and editing.

Digital creator Yousef Abu Ghazaleh took students on a journey through Kuwait’s history in the Kuwait Times archive room. After that, the Head of the printing department, Al-Watheq Bellah Darwish, took the students on a tour of the printing press, showing them the printing process and how Kuwait Times’ staff runs and maintains the press.

At the end of the visit, students filmed a video with Content Creator Al-Issa at Kuwait Times’ studio, while they were enlightened about Kuwait Times’ endeavors to adapt to the rapidly evolving social media landscape.
