LUXEMBOURG: Kuwait artistic gymnastics team player Abdullah Mekdad Behbehani imposed his presence at the Luxembourg International Open Championship for artistic gymnastics, and won two medals (gold and silver) in the competition held under the umbrella of the International Gymnastics Federation.

The champion grabbed the gold of the parallel apparatus, ahead of Belgium's Arthur Oleslegers, who won the silver, and Ireland's Finlay Hazleton, who won the bronze, while the Kuwaiti team player won the silver of the vaulting table, and the gold medal went to Lithuania's Nidas Grykinis, while Luxembourg's Jan Kees won the bronze.

The Secretary of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation, Abdullatif Murad, stated that Abdullah's participation in the international championship comes within a long preparation plan developed by the game federation in coordination with the technical director of the federation, Mohammed Behbehani, and the Kuwait Olympic Committee, with the aim of raising the level of the player and preparing him for the upcoming official competitions, specifically in the 2025 Asian Championship, the West Asian Championship, and the 2026 Youth Olympic Games held in Senegal, adding that the preparation plan that lasts for a year includes training camps and participation in international championships in order to gain more experience and develop the player's performance on all technical gymnastics apparatus.

Murad praised the wonderful level of the player and the outstanding results he achieves in every tournament he participates, stressing that the Behbahani is a Kuwaiti champion in the sport of artistic gymnastics, and the Federation will provide him with all the elements of success, expressing in this regard his thanks and gratitude to the Public Authority for Sport and the Kuwait Olympic Committee for their support for the player and the Gymnastics Federation in general.
