KUWAIT: Minister of Public Works Dr Noura Al-Mashaan on Wednesday announced the commencement of road maintenance works in Sabah Al-Ahmad City, as part of a broader national initiative encompassing 18 contracts aimed at developing roads across Kuwait’s various governorates. In a press statement, Dr Al-Mashaan affirmed that the ministry’s infrastructure efforts align with the goals of the New Kuwait 2035 vision, emphasizing that road development plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life and stimulating economic growth.
She reiterated the ministry’s commitment to implementing projects in accordance with international quality standards, stressing that roads are vital arteries for both economic and urban development. Meanwhile, Engineer Mubarak Al-Qahtani, supervisor of Contract 16, second scope — Al-Ahmadi Governorate — confirmed that ministry teams are actively working in Sabah Al-Ahmad City. Maintenance is currently underway on the surface layer (3tYPe) along the axis separating the first and second suburbs, he noted. — KUNA
