KUWAIT: The Ministry of Education has reiterated its commitment to encouraging students to take part in local and international competitions that showcase their talents and positively represent Kuwait abroad. The Ministry emphasized that such participation aligns with its strategic vision of nurturing a creative generation equipped with modern tools and skills. In a press statement, the Ministry congratulated the students who achieved top rankings in the finals of the West Asia SeaPerch competition, held in cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, from April 8 to 11 at Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates.
The Ministry underlined its keenness to support scientific and technological initiatives that enhance students’ capabilities, open new pathways for innovation, and promote creativity. It added that participation in international competitions reflects its ongoing efforts to elevate the quality of education and foster academic excellence. The statement further highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships with institutions that support student development across scientific, cultural, and creative domains. Such collaborations, it noted, aim to provide an enabling and stimulating environment to discover and refine students’ talents.
Winners honored
In the secondary school category, the team comprising Thamer Al-Khalidi, Saleh Al-Khalidi, and Musab Al-Anzi from Al-Shuja’ bin Al-Aslam School, along with Abdulwahab Al-Azmi from Tariq Al-Sayed Rajab School, secured first place. Second place went to Mahmoud Al-Dashti from Al-Imam Malik Secondary School, Saleh Al-Sayrafi from Khaled Saud Al-Zaid Secondary School, and Fatima Al-Sayrafi from Laila Al-Ghafaria Secondary School. Third place was awarded to Rimas Al-Alaj, Asia Hashem, and Hajar Al-Shammari from Habeeba bint Shuraiq Al-Ansariyya School.
In the intermediate school category, first place was clinched by Abdulaziz Al-Azmi from Tariq Al-Sayed Rajab School, Mishaal Al-Khalidi from Salma bint Qais Al-Ashja’i School, and Sadiq Al-Rashed from Abu Qasim Al-Shabi School. Second place went to Mohammed Al-Kandari and Shihab Al-Kandari from Amer Bin Omar School, while Abdullah Al-Fahd, Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, Abdulrahman Al-Kandari, and Mohammed Al-Shammari from Jaafar Bin Abi Talib School secured third place. - KUNA
