KUWAIT: The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) is taking part in Kuwait’s national pavilion at 2025 Osaka Expo, offering a vibrant representation of the country’s cultural identity and civilizational legacy. The council’s participation features a rich lineup of artistic and cultural activities aimed at highlighting Kuwait’s heritage on the global stage.
Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Assistant Secretary-General for Culture at NCCAL Aisha Al-Mahmoud, who is leading the council’s delegation on behalf of Director General Dr Mohammad Al-Jassar, affirmed that the council’s involvement in this international exhibition underscores its commitment to strengthening Kuwait’s cultural and artistic presence abroad. Al-Mahmoud noted that the Red Palace Folklore Band will perform traditional Kuwaiti music during the pavilion’s opening celebrations. The performances, which span five consecutive days, draw from Kuwait’s deep-rooted musical heritage, offering audiences a glimpse into the nation’s artistic traditions.




She added that the council has prepared a diverse cultural program that will run throughout the Expo, offering visitors a rich and immersive experience that showcases Kuwait’s creative diversity and cultural authenticity. “Our participation in this global forum reaffirms Kuwait’s dedication to its cultural mission on the international stage,” Al-Mahmoud said. “Through the artistic and cultural presentations at the Kuwait Pavilion, we aim to present the civilized face of Kuwait and foster greater understanding and friendship between Kuwait and the world.”
She emphasized that the Kuwait Pavilion at 2025 Osaka Expo reflects a vision that harmoniously blends the country’s cultural heritage with its aspirations for the future. 2025 Osaka Expo, held under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, will take place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, with the participation of 158 countries and regions, including Kuwait. The Expo is recognized as a premier international platform for presenting innovative solutions to global challenges through culture, collaboration and creativity. — KUNA
