KFF shuts down basement storing hazardous materials

KUWAIT: The Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) carried out an inspection campaign on Sunday targeting the basement of a commercial building in Bneid Al-Gar, where flammable and chemical substances were being improperly stored.

Authorities subsequently ordered the administrative closure of the facility. In a statement issued Monday, KFF said the inspection formed part of its ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and reinforce fire prevention measures, under the direct supervision of KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi.

The force reaffirmed its continued commitment to enforcing safety regulations and minimizing risks to safeguard lives and property. - KUNA
