KUWAIT: The KUNA Center for Development of Media Skills launched a specialized training program on Sunday titled “Skills of Handling and Managing News Bulletins”, running through April 17. The program is being held with the participation of KUNA staff and is presented by the agency’s Managing Editor, Mahmoud Boushehri. The training aims to enhance the professional capabilities of editorial staff, focusing on the fundamental responsibilities of desk editors and the technical and administrative roles of bulletin directors in newsroom operations.



Participants will explore key challenges faced by bulletin directors, alongside essential skills in leadership, communication, and daily bulletin management. The program also delves into core principles of news production, news value assessment, and the process of evaluating and reediting content. In addition, it covers protocols for handling emergency situations and breaking news.
