A newly-released historical book titled “Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem and Kuwait’s Golden Era” by researcher Abdullah Abbas Buwair explores the life and legacy of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s 11th ruler and architect of its independence. The 9-chapter volume covers his early life, leadership, and transformative role in Kuwait’s modern development.
The book also highlights Kuwait’s 400-year history, its role as a trade hub, and key figures who helped build the nation — including Mohammad Ali Maarafi and Mubarak Boursli. Dedicated to the late Sheikh’s family and HH the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, this work is a rich tribute to Kuwait’s golden era.
