BERLIN: In a significant event marking the 50th anniversary of the partnership between Kuwait and Mercedes-Benz AG, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah attended a celebration in Stuttgart, Germany, on Thursday, representing HH the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Accompanying HH the Prime Minister were several prominent figures, including Minister of Oil and Board Member of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) Tareq Sulaiman Al-Roumi, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait Basel Ahmad Al-Haroun, Undersecretary for Financial, Administrative and Communication Affairs at the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Managing Director of KIA Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Germany Reem Mohammad Al-Khaled, Head of the Kuwait Investment Office in London Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizeem and Kuwait’s Consul General in Frankfurt Adel Ahmad Al-Ghunaiman, along with KIA board members and senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Diwan.

HH the Prime Minister visited the Mercedes-Benz Group’s factory facilities, where he was briefed on the company’s future plans, the latest vehicle models, manufacturing stages and production lines. In a statement to the press, HH Sheikh Ahmad expressed his admiration for the long-standing relationship between Kuwait and Germany, emphasizing the historic bond of friendship and the constructive cooperation between the two nations. He acknowledged the shared vision to further strengthen and develop these distinguished ties.
Highlighting the enduring partnership with Mercedes-Benz, HH the Prime Minister underscored that the relationship, which spans over five decades, serves as a model of successful economic collaboration. The partnership, built on trust and mutual respect, has advanced trade and investment, reinforcing Kuwait’s commitment to its strategic economic goals.
