Qatar ratifies key agreements with Kuwait, partners

DOHA: The Qatari Cabinet has approved a series of strategic decisions aimed at strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation, including the ratification of key agreements with Kuwait. During its regular weekly session on Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Cabinet approved measures to ratify a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on social insurance cooperation between the governments of Qatar and Kuwait.

In addition, the Cabinet endorsed another MoU between the two countries focused on enhancing collaboration in the development of industrial exports. According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Cabinet also approved the ratification of the General Agreement for the Establishment of the Arab Common Market for Electricity—an initiative aimed at fostering regional energy integration. Further decisions included Qatar’s accession to the Near East Plant Protection Organization and the approval of a draft air services agreement with the Republic of Kiribati, expanding Qatar’s international cooperation across multiple sectors.— KUNA
