KUWAIT: Assistant secretary of Kuwait Shooting Sport Club confirmed that the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Ranges Complex is ready to host HH The Amir’s Annual Grand International Shooting Championship after the completion of maintenance work.
Engineer Mohammed Al-Ghurba, who is the assistant tournament director, said: “The working committees have completed the preparations for the tournament, indicating that things are going well in terms of organizational matters, commensurate with the most Kuwaiti shooting championships.”
Al-Ghurba pointed out that the Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament issued instructions to the working committees to identify all preparations for organizing the precious tournament, explaining that the heads of these committees prepared special reports, each in his specialty, in this regard.
Al-Ghurba pointed out that the delegations participating in the championship of His Highness the Amir, may God protect and care for him, began to arrive in the country, where the specialized committees are receiving them at Kuwait International Airport, and working to facilitate their entry procedures, in addition to securing their weapons.
Al-Ghurba stressed that everyone is on one heart, and the common denominator between them is to show Kuwait in its brightest form, and to emphasize that the Kuwaiti shooting officials have exceeded the stage of success in organizing, as they reached excellence, which made many countries of the world set the most wonderful examples in hosting sports championships in general and shooting championships in particular.
For his part, the Technical Director of Cartridge Weapons Shooting at the Kuwaiti Shooting Sports Club, Mashfi Al-Mutairi, stated that the Kuwaiti shooters participating in the annual His Highness the Amir’s Annual International Grand Championship are fully prepared to compete in the championship and continue training in skeet and trap shooting.
He added that it is expected that the competitions will be intense, as a group of world champions who have a long history in international tournaments will participate, as Kuwaiti champions participate in raising the flag of Kuwait high in all continental or international forums.
Al-Mutairi thanked the Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament, for providing all the supplies for the archers to enable them to compete without obstacles, and he also thanked the board of directors who do not hesitate to remove all obstacles that could affect the performance.
Al-Mutairi concluded his statement by saying that he is confident that Kuwait’s shooters are capable of achieving the best results in this precious tournament.
In a statement by the Vice President of the Cartridge Judges Committee, Mohammed Al-Fahad, that Kuwait is blessed with the presence of international Kuwaiti referees capable of managing any tournament and at any level, whether international or Olympic championships, and added that refresher courses were held for referees to inform them of the latest amendments to the laws issued by the International Shooting Federation.
Al-Fahad said that practical exercises have been carried out in the fields for all the referees who will manage the precious tournament, which they are eagerly awaiting its launch next Saturday.
