Moral education essential for creating a drug-free society: Thenchery

ICF National President Alavi Saqafi Thenchery emphasized that moral education is indispensable to ensure social safety amid the widespread menace of drugs. He inaugurated an iftar gathering organized by the ICF Salmiya region for students.

Thenchery urged parents to remain extremely vigilant about their children’s affairs, as students play a crucial role in shaping the future of families and society. The event was presided over by regional president Ibrahim Musliyar. Leaders including Shihab Vaniyannoor, Shameer Musliyar, and Abdul Qadir Edakkara guided the program. The event, held at Salmiya Garden, Jahafar Swadiq Valluvambram delivered the welcome speech and Aboobacker Himami expressed gratitude.

The ICF Salmiya Region also conducted a Quran recitation competition for students. The winners are:

• Sub-junior category: Hamdan, Fathima Jabir

• Junior category: Muhammad Rabeeh, Fanaan Fahad

• Senior category: Muhammad Najin, Minha Fathima

• Plus category: Muhammad Shafi (received a special award)

The prize distribution was carried out by Hashim Thaliparamba and Musthafa Saqafi.
