SIF-Kuwait has announced the ‘Annual Science Gala 2025’ which will take place on April 11, 2025, at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Doha area on the 7th Ring Road, Kuwait. ‘Annual Science Gala’ is organized with an aim to provide experience, appreciation, motivation, and knowledge for the student community in Kuwait. Interaction programs with India’s leading scientists will be organized as part of the gala providing a great opportunity for the students of Kuwait to meet and get an exposure of the rich experiences of these famous scientists.

Last year, over 4,500 students participated in the ‘Sastra Pratibha Examination’ in Kuwait, and more than 6,000 students actively engage in the science-based programs throughout the year. This prestigious event will feature Dr S Somanath, former Chairman of ISRO, as the chief guest. Students will have a golden opportunity to listen to the visionary behind Chandrayaan-3 and gain insights into India’s space exploration journey.

This event serves as the grand annual ceremony where winners of SIF-Kuwait’s flagship programs, including the ‘Sastra Pratibha’ examination, SciFiX, & outstanding achievements will be honored. The prestigious ‘Acharya J C Bose Sastra Puraskar’ for the best performing school will be awarded to Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (DPS) at the function. This is an incredible occasion to celebrate scientific excellence and inspire the next generation of innovators. The 14th ‘Sastra Prathibha’ winners will get an opportunity for a personal interaction with Dr S Somanath at a separate session.

The winners of ‘Sastra Pratibha’ Contest for the academic year 2024 – 2025 will also take part in ‘Sastrayaan-2025’ scheduled to be organized by July 2025, where they will be visiting prestigious research facilities like BARC in Kolkata. SIF-Kuwait will screen the award-winning short films at the venue starting from 4 pm.
