KUWAIT: Secretary General of the Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, Obaid Manahi Al-Osaimi, expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Shooting Sport Club and Federation, as well as all members of Kuwait’s shooting community, to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his unwavering support.
Al-Osaimi commended His Highness’s steadfast encouragement of Kuwaiti shooters, which has fueled their continued achievements on regional and international stages. He also extended deep gratitude for the Amir’s generous patronage of the 12th International Shooting Grand Prix, scheduled to take place from April 11 to 20, 2025. During a coordination meeting held at the Kuwait Shooting Sports Club, Al-Osaimi addressed the organizing committees of the Grand Prix.
He emphasized that hosting this prestigious championship for the twelfth consecutive time is a great honor for the Club and Federation. The event, he noted, stands as a testament to the boundless support extended by His Highness the Amir — support that has significantly bolstered Kuwait’s position on the global shooting sports map and contributed to the nation’s success in securing Olympic and international medals.
Committee heads presented detailed reports on their respective areas of responsibility, outlining the progress made in preparation for the tournament. Each head elaborated on their team’s tasks and coordination mechanisms with other committees. Al-Osaimi expressed full confidence in the capabilities of all organizing teams, citing their extensive experience in hosting major championships.
He further announced that the opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Kuwait Shooting Sports Club, under the patronage of Sheikh Sabah Badr Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, who will represent His Highness the Amir at the event. Concluding the meeting, Al-Osaimi extended his appreciation to all committee members for their dedication and urged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the championship — held under the esteemed name of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah — is organized in a manner befitting its importance.
