Ambassadors send congratulatory messages for Eid

Belinda Lewis, British Ambassador to Kuwait

I would like to extend my warmest wishes to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister and the Government and people of Kuwait as we celebrate Eid Al-Fitr.

Reflecting on the Holy Month of Ramadan, my team at the British Embassy and I have thoroughly enjoyed immersing ourselves in Kuwait’s rich traditions and developing further the people-to-people links that underpin the unique partnership between our two countries. We are, as ever, profoundly grateful to the wonderful hosts who have welcomed us to their iftars, ghabgas and diwaniyas with typically generous hospitality. I wish everyone a peaceful and blessed Eid full of quality time with family and friends. Eid Mubarak!

Praise be to God, who has brought us the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, after fasting the holy month of Ramadan with tranquility and peace. We ask Allah Almighty to accept our righteous deeds from us and from you. On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, we extend our warmest congratulations and blessings to the sisterly State of Kuwait, its leadership, government, and people ... We wish good health and well-being to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and to our fellow citizens and residents of the State of Kuwait. We ask Allah Almighty to bring it back to us and to you with goodness, blessings, and prosperity. As this blessed month of mercy and forgiveness comes to an end, we face great challenges imposed upon us by our moral and humanitarian commitment. The true essence of Ramadan is not limited to a month of religious worship alone, but rather a month of solidarity and support with our brothers and friends.

As the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The believers in their mutual love and compassion are like a single body. If one part of it is ill, the rest of the body feels pain and fever.” We recall with clarity and sincerity the need to stand with compassion and solidarity to end the devastating humanitarian losses resulting from unjustified wars that pierce hearts and eyes. Once again, with the advent of Eid Al-Fitr, I also pray for the people of Gaza, hoping that they will find peace and solace in these difficult times, and that the coming Eid will bring relief, prosperity, and lasting peace to all.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the staff of the Turkish Embassy, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Turkish community in Kuwait. We hope that these blessed days will bring peace and tranquility to the Islamic world and all of humanity. On this occasion, I also extend my sincere congratulations on the strengthening of relations between our two countries, Turkiye and Kuwait. We pray to Allah to perpetuate our unity and solidarity, and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between our peoples. Hope you be well, healthy, and safe every year.

Lena Maryana, Indonesian Ambassador to Kuwait

On the blessed occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, I extend my warmest greetings to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya, Foreign Minister, as well as the esteemed leadership and the people of Kuwait. As we conclude the sacred month of Ramadan — a time of reflection, devotion, and spiritual renewal — we embrace the joyous spirit of Eid, a moment of gratitude and unity. Eid reminds us of the values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity, strengthening the bonds that connect us as an ummah and as humanity.

May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and may we continue to uphold the spirit of fraternity and cooperation between Indonesia and Kuwait, fostering a future of harmony and shared progress. Indonesia and Kuwait, bound by shared faith and deep-rooted ties, continue to walk together in friendship and mutual respect. The spirit of Eid inspires us to strengthen these bonds — not only as nations but as part of a larger ummah, committed to fostering solidarity and understanding in an ever-changing world. May this blessed day bring peace, prosperity, and countless blessings to all. May Allah accept our prayers, guide us on the path of righteousness, and grant us the opportunity to witness many more Ramadans to come. Amin. Eid Mubarak.

On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, I would like to extend my sincerest wishes to the leadership and people of Kuwait. May this celebration be marked by joy, serenity, and peace. Eid marks the end of a month of solidarity and fraternity, filled with moments of sharing and connection. I would like to sincerely thank all those who welcomed us during this time, especially those who opened the doors of their diwaniyas to share warm and friendly moments.

This gesture embodies the spirit of hospitality that characterizes Kuwait. During these moments of exchange and togetherness, I met many Kuwaitis who know France well and are committed to strengthening the friendship between our two countries. I am grateful for these bonds and wish to reaffirm my full commitment, and that of my team, to continue developing them in all areas. On behalf of the entire team at the Embassy of France, I wish you a joyful Eid Al-Fitr, surrounded by those who are dear to you.
