KAC, KNPC strengthen strategic partnership

KUWAIT: Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) and Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) signed a cooperation protocol on Thursday, aimed at enhancing bilateral and strategic relations between the two entities. KAC Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Faqan stated that the agreement aligns with the airline’s commitment to fostering collaboration with both public and private sector organizations.

He emphasized that the protocol reinforces the longstanding strategic partnership between KAC and KNPC, serving as part of the airline’s broader initiative to establish key alliances with national institutions and companies.

The signing ceremony was attended by KAC Chief Executive Officer Ahmad Alkreebani and KNPC Chief Executive Officer Wadha Al-Khatib. Kuwait Airways was founded in 1953 as a private company under the name Kuwait National Airways Limited and commenced operations on March 16, 1954. In 1962, the Kuwaiti government acquired full ownership of the airline. — KUNA
