Great turnout at Zain’s second Quran memorization, recitation competition

Around 500 participants competed to embody the Holy Quran’s noble values

KUWAIT: Zain successfully concluded its second Holy Quran ‘Memorization and Recitation Competition’, which this year witnessed a great turnout from around 500 participants of various young age groups, who competed in memorizing, reciting, and embracing the noble values of the Holy Quran. The company held an awards ceremony at its headquarters in Shuwaikh, attended by Zain Kuwait CEO Nawaf Al-Gharabally, Head of the Judges Panel and Imam of the Grand Mosque Sheikh Omar Al-Damkhi, along with Zain officials, members of the judging committee, winners, and their parents.

The top three winners from each of the six categories were presented with cash prizes. The competition spanned two days at Zain’s headquarters and included three different age categories for both males and females: the first category, for children aged 6 to 10, focused on memorizing from Surah Al-Bayyina to Surah An-Naas; the second category, for ages 11 to 15, was dedicated to memorizing Surah Ar-Rahman; and the third category, for ages 16 to 25, focused on memorizing Surah As-Sajdah.

The competition was supervised by an official committee accredited by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. As part of its commitment to engaging its employees in its community initiatives and programs, Zain also organized its fifth Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition for its employees and their children, in which the top three winners were honored with encouraging cash prizes.

This initiative came under the umbrella of the Zain Al-Shuhoor campaign, which consistently returns each year with fresh ideas, expanding its programs and initiatives annually. Through this campaign, the company builds bridges of collaboration with various entities across the country to embody the spirit of giving that distinguishes the Holy Month of Ramadan, reflecting the genuine values deeply rooted in the people of Kuwait in helping others and spreading love and peace.
