Envoy commends Kuwaiti students in Bahrain

MANAMA: Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah commended the dedication and perseverance of Kuwaiti students in the Kingdom, highlighting their ability to shoulder responsibility and represent their homeland with diligence and excellence. Speaking at the second annual Iftar banquet hosted by the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Bahrain, Sheikh Thamer extended his heartfelt congratulations to the attendees on the holy month of Ramadan. He prayed for Allah Almighty to accept their fasting and bless them with prosperity and success.

Sheikh Thamer emphasized that Kuwaitis continuously demonstrate their capacity to uphold responsibilities entrusted to them, underscoring the importance of their role in shaping Kuwait’s present and future. He urged students to invest their time wisely, remaining committed to their academic pursuits with patience and perseverance, ultimately contributing to the nation’s development.

“The service of Kuwait and its people is an unparalleled honor,” Sheikh Thamer stated, encouraging students to strive for excellence in their respective fields. He acknowledged the strong historical and social ties between Kuwait and Bahrain, noting that Kuwaiti students enjoy a distinctive Ramadan experience in Bahrain, reminiscent of the traditions and values of their homeland.

He praised the Kingdom’s advanced academic and educational environment, which fosters learning and creativity. Reaffirming the embassy’s unwavering support, he assured students that its doors remain open to them. “We stand by you, support you, and take pride in your achievements. If success has a story, you are the success story that elevates our beloved country,” he remarked. Sheikh Thamer also lauded the efforts of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Bahrain for ensuring students’ academic comfort and well-being. He expressed gratitude to the National Bank of Kuwait’s Bahrain Branch for its continuous support of various student initiatives.

Meanwhile, Head of the Cultural Office, Dr Mohammed Al-Daghim, highlighted the significance of the annual gathering in fostering social bonds among students, complementing the office’s academic role. He noted that these interactions reinforce the sense of unity and family among students, strengthening their connection with the embassy and cultural office.

Dr. Al-Daghim emphasized the pride the Kuwaiti Cultural Office takes in its students across all disciplines and institutions, commending their commitment to excellence and adherence to academic and societal regulations. He expressed hope for their continued success, praying that they achieve their academic goals to serve Kuwait. The iftar banquet, supported by the National Bank of Kuwait (Bahrain Branch), was attended by Sheikh Thamer, senior officials, and approximately 1,100 Kuwaiti students pursuing higher education in Bahrain, along with their families.
