Zain organizes its annual girgian celebration at social care centers

Zain, Dabdoob bring joy to foster care children, special needs individuals, elderly

KUWAIT: As part of its annual tradition, Zain held its girgian celebration (traditional candy distribution) at the Ministry of Social Affairs’ social care centers. This year, the company partnered with Dabdoob to spread joy among the residents of these centers, including foster care children, people with special needs, and elderly individuals, by distributing Zain girgian, gifts and toys.

The event was attended by Wafaa Al-Mahnna, Director General of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs; Hamad Al-Musaibeeh, Zain Kuwait Corporate Relations Department Manager; as well as officials from Zain, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, alongside administrative and nursing staff from the care centers.

Zain takes great pride in hosting this humanitarian event each year under the umbrella of its Ramadan campaign, Zain Al-Shuhoor, where it shares the joy of girgian with foster care children, people with special needs, and elderly individuals residing in social care centers. The celebration featured a variety of cultural and theatrical performances presented by the residents, bringing happiness to their hearts.

This year, Zain collaborated with Dabdoob, the online children’s toys platform, to distribute gifts and toys at the event, fostering a warm, family-like atmosphere, which embraced the essence of Ramadan’s rich traditions while adding a heartfelt touch of appreciation to these cherished members of the community. Year after year, Zain Al-Shuhoor continues to evolve, expanding its programs and initiatives. Through this campaign, the company strengthens its collaboration with various entities across Kuwait, embodying the spirit of generosity that defines the Holy Month while reflecting the deep-rooted values of Kuwaitis in helping others and promoting love and peace.
